Mixed 2-component sealants and adhesives have the characteristic to vulcanise slower at lower temperatures. With polysulfide and polyurethane the reaction stops at a temperature of - 25 °C, silicon reacts more slowly at a temperature of - 40 °C and lower. Freezing is an environmentfriendly and economic method in case of production interruptions.

Advantages:
This procedure hinders polymerization of the mixed material due to cooling down on low temperatures. The material can be processed normally after defrosting on temperatures between 20 °C and 50 °C. Please observe the freezing temperature and time specific for each material.
